Privacy

One email address, no tracking, no advertising network and no list sharing.

The short answer

We collect an email address when you subscribe, and nothing else. There is no advertising network on this site, no third party ad script, no retargeting pixel and no cross site tracking. The subscriber list is never sold, rented, shared or used for lookalike targeting, and you can be removed at any time by asking.

What we collect

If you subscribe to the weekly briefing, we store the email address you submit, the type of subscription, the date and the country code supplied by our hosting provider's edge network. That is the whole record.

If you use the contact form, we receive what you send us so that we can reply to it.

What we do not do

  • No advertising network, no programmatic advertising, no pay per click, no third party ad scripts.
  • No retargeting pixels and no cross site tracking.
  • No selling, renting or sharing of the subscriber list, and no use of it for lookalike or custom audience targeting.
  • No affiliate tracking, because there are no affiliate links on this site.
  • No profiling of readers by the articles they read.

What sponsors receive

Sponsors receive delivery and click figures for their own placement. They do not receive email addresses, subscriber counts by segment, or any data about individual readers. This is set out in the sponsorship terms.

Storage and retention

Subscriber records are held in a key value store operated by our hosting provider. We keep a subscription record for as long as the subscription is active, and remove it on request.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for it to be deleted. Ask through the contact page and we will action it. Because the record is a single line, this is usually straightforward.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own for analytics, advertising or profiling. Fonts are served from a third party font provider, which will receive a request from your browser in order to deliver them. If that matters to you, browser level blocking of third party font requests will not affect the readability of the site, which specifies fallback typefaces.

Contact

Data protection enquiries go through the contact page. Men's Skin is published by Northbank Media.

No commercial links on this page

This article contains no affiliate links, no sponsored placements and no links to any commercial product, brand, retailer or clinic. Nobody paid for it, nobody previewed it and nobody outside the editorial desk saw it before publication. Our editorial standards set out the three archive articles that are the single disclosed exception on this site, none of which is this one.

Nothing here is medical advice. For your own skin, speak to a pharmacist, a GP or a dermatologist.

The weekly briefing

One email a week on male skin. Nothing else, and no list sharing of any kind.

One email a week. One lead piece, what has been published, and at most one labelled placement. Never sold, never shared.
